The Squeeze: Hometown heroes and locker room unveiling

A concentrated look at recent buzz on the Broncos.

It all goes down tomorrow, but in the meantime, here are a couple things to catch up around the social realm, starting with our hometown heroes:

1. Broncos’ hometowns show support

It could be easy to forget your roots when you play football at the highest level and are prepping for the Super Bowl. But in a testament to how beloved the Broncos are in their hometowns, their first believers went out all out on Orange Friday — all over the country.

Running back C.J. Anderson’s high school, Jesse Bethe High School, named Friday “C.J. Anderson Day.”

Brandon McManus, a native of Pennsylvania and alumnus of North Penn High School where he was a kicker for the Knights. 

The high school sold orange shirts with a No. 8 on them for McManus, and donated them to his Anti-Bullying Foundation. In two days, North Penn sold 1,200 shirts and raised more than $6,000.

2. Broncos tour Super Bowl 50 lockers

Denver concluded their practice slate on Friday and held a walkthrough on Saturday at Levi’s Stadium. While at Levi’s Stadium, the Broncos had a chance to see their lockers for the first time:
