The countdown for the Super Bowl continues, so here are some things to get caught up on, starting with Jimmy "Buckets":

1. Ware, Thomas and Butler explore downtown

The Broncos enjoyed a day off Tuesday afternoon leading some to venture from their headquarters in Santa Clara to downtown San Francisco.

Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and Chicago Bulls small forward Jimmy Butler met up in the city for some quality bonding time.

2. Davis visits children's hospital

Tight end Vernon Davis, a former member of the San Francisco 49ers, spent his free time on Tuesday visiting Alex, a patient at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.



3. Talib defies middle school teacher

ESPN's Jeff Legwold chatted with cornerback Aqib Talib who was once told by a middle school teacher that he dreaming of playing in the NFL wasn't a serious dream.
Well, Talib told her.
"I got in trouble in fourth or fifth grade for writing a paper on what we wanted to be when we grew up," Talib said. "I put an NFL player. My teacher told me we're doing 'really serious jobs.' So, I said, 'Just 'cause you're not that talented and you're not going to the NFL doesn't mean I'm not going.' Got me a little in-school suspension for that and everything.
