Lucky fan wins Bud Light Super Bowl package

Posted Jan 30, 2016

The Broncos partnered with Bud Light for a 'Heads and Tails' promotion, providing one lucky fan with a trip for two to Super Bowl 50.

DENVER, Colo. -- The Broncos and Bud Light partnered to host a ‘Heads and Tails’ promotion giving 500 fans a chance to win a travel package and tickets to Super Bowl 50. Participants were selected through contests held on local radio stations and gathered at the Noble Energy Sports Legends Mall at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Saturday for their chance to win.

To determine the winner, former Broncos player Tyrone Braxton flipped a coin until there was one contestant left standing.

The lucky winner was Los Angeles resident Diane Lopez, who grew up a Broncos fan after moving to Denver when she was younger. Super Bowl 50 will be the first Broncos game she’s attended this season.

“It feels awesome, I am so excited,” Lopez said. “I can’t wait to tell everybody that I’m going to the Super Bowl!”

Her boyfriend, Joe Duran won the chance to attend the event after calling into 103.5 The Fox earlier this week.

“I was the very first caller to win right after they announced the contest,” Duran said. “We had a ton of friends that were telling us we shouldn’t come because we weren’t going to win, but look what happened!”

After winning, Lopez was given a four-day, three-night prize packet including airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to Super Bowl 50.
