ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Head Coach John Fox said after the 2011 NFL Draft that the team would use free agency to add to the defensive line.
The front office continued making that a reality Tuesday, signing former New England Patriots defensive lineman Ty Warren.

Warren was a first-round draft pick of the Patriots in 2003 and started 92 out of 106 games he played with them since then. However, he missed the 2010 season with a hip injury.
Warren was named to the All-Pro team in 2007 when he notched four sacks and a career-high three fumble recoveries. The year before, he registered a career high 7.5 sacks on the season to go along with his lone career safety.
Warren cannot practice Wednesday, but can join his teammates on the practice field at Dove Valley Thursday -- the start of the new league year.
