The Squeeze: Memories with Manning and tributes to Peyton

Posted Mar 8, 2016

Peyton Manning's retirement press conference brought back memories for many friends and fans, and brought some to pay tribute to his career in unique ways.

1. Peyton's retirement brings out more memories...

Peyton Manning's tearjerking retirement speech spanned his entire football career, bringing back memories for himself and for many of those who played against him, looked up to him or simply shared a field with him.

[Dear Shannon, I just wanted to congratulate you on being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. What a tremendous honor, and dertainly well-deserved. I hope the next month and the induction ceremony are great for you. I hope our paths cross soon, and once again, congratulations. Sincerely, Peyton Manning.]

2. ...and a few commemorative gestures

Friends and fans alike were proud to share their appreciation for all that Manning's football career brought into their lives, and of course his last day as a Bronco couldn't have been complete without some chicken parm.

3. Paying tribute to another retiring great

Demaryius Thomas went from celebrating Manning's career on Monday to doing the same for another all-time great who also had an immeasurable impact on his life, former Lions WR Calvin Johnson, who announced his retirement on Tuesday.

4. Miller's Dancing with the Stars partner announced

If you couldn't get enough of Von Miller's post-sack dances this year, you'll be able to see him put his moves to the test on Dancing with the Stars with professional dancer Whitney Carson as his dance partner.
