Super Bowl Postcards: Halfcourt Shot

Posted Jan 28, 2014

Gray Caldwell checks in with his latest postcard from Super Bowl XLVIII, this one with a unique look inside an iconic venue.

NEW YORK -- From Marcy to Madison Square.

OK mostly I just like Jay-Z and that was the first lyric I could recall that had Madison Square Garden in it.

But today Stuart Zaas -- our digital media coordinator -- and I made a trip to the home of the New York Knicks as part of a Broncos helmet scavenger hunt gallery that we'll be posting on DenverBroncos.com later this week.

If you need a refresher, we held a similar scavenger hunt in Denver leading up to the Divisional Round of the playoffs. This time around, we're going to landmarks in The Big Apple.

Wanted to give you a sneak peek at what's in store for the Super Bowl edition. And a big thank you goes out to Hasim Phillips for helping us get the shot!

No, we didn't see Melo there. Or my UNC guy Ray Felton. But the Knicks dancers were kicking off their practice as we left, so that's something.

Stu has already been to a handful of other places -- I won't give them away, that would ruin the surprise -- with plenty more on deck for the next couple of days.

Look for the gallery on either Friday or Saturday, depending on when we're able to finish gathering all the photos. We'll keep you in the loop.
