Peyton Manning inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame

Posted Dec 6, 2017

Take a look at a social recap of Tuesday's celebration!

Former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning joined 12 other college football legends who were inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday night.

Manning, who threw for 11,201 yards and 89 touchdowns while at Tennessee, received the honor at a banquet in New York City. He joined his father, Archie Manning, in the Hall, as the two of them became the first father-son duo to be inducted.

“To be selected into the College Football Hall of Fame means a great deal to me,” Manning said Tuesday. “My dad is a member of the Hall of Fame, and I remember being at that banquet 28 years ago. I was 13 years old, and I can just remember seeing my dad and understanding the significance of that moment for him. To be able to have that same experience tonight is very special, very humbling. I believe I’m the 23rd Tennessee Volunteer to be inducted. That certainly says more about Tennessee than it does me, but to join guys like Johnny Majors, Reggie White, Doug Atkins, Coach Fulmer, Coach Dickey — it’s very humbling."
