
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- After three weeks of training camp and three preseason games, the Broncos are one step closer to the final, 53-man roster.
On Monday, the team made 13 transactions to trim the roster to the required 75 players.

Entering his 13th NFL season, Paxton is the most veteran player on the list, which includes five 2012 college free agents.
Paxton, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, played in all 16 games in three seasons with the Broncos. He has participated in 204 of a possible 211 games (regular season and postseason) during his NFL career.

By the end of the week -- Friday at 7 p.m. MDT -- the Broncos will need to make 22 more cuts to reach the regular-season total of 53.
