Manning Ties Single-Season TD Record

Posted Dec 22, 2013

QB Peyton Manning has now thrown 50 touchdowns this season, tying the single-season NFL record.

HOUSTON -- With a 20-yard strike to Eric Decker, Peyton Manning tied the NFL single-season record for touchdown passes.

His 50th of 2013 tied Tom Brady's mark set in 2007 -- and Manning still has time left this afternoon and another game next week to break the record.

Manning threw 49 touchdown passes in 2004, so in tying the record he also established a new career high.

This season, Manning has seven four-touchdown games, another NFL record. If he makes it eight today against the Texans, he will break the single-season touchdown mark.
