Jarmon to Denver in Trade

Posted Jul 27, 2011

On Wednesday, the Broncos traded wide receiver Jabar Gaffney to the Washington Redskins in exchange for defensive lineman Jeremy Jarmon.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Shortly after adding 17 college free agents to the roster, the Broncos made another transaction Wednesday.

Wide receiver Jabar Gaffney has been traded to the Washington Redskins in exchange for third-year defensive lineman Jeremy Jarmon.

Jarmon played in 16 games -- starting one -- in his two years in Washington, accumulating 11 tackles, a pass defensed and a forced fumble.

He was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 30, 2009 after tearing his ACL, and missed time in 2010 due to injury.

The former University of Kentucky standout was selected in the third round of the 2009 supplemental draft.

Gaffney spent two seasons in Denver, catching 119 passes for 1,607 yards and four touchdowns.
