Harris, Talib and Miller named to NFL Top 100

Posted Jun 27, 2017

Revisit what made these three Broncos deserving of NFL Top 100 honors.

Though the Broncos fell short of the playoffs in 2016, the team didn’t lack playmakers. And as the NFL counted down its top 100 players of the season, Denver’s talented players were certainly recognized.

Here are the Broncos named to the NFL’s Top 100:

No. 63: Chris Harris Jr. (CB)

Harris makes his second consecutive appearance on the NFL Top 100, as he checks in this year at No. 63.

Though Harris was named a First-Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler in 2016, this year’s ranking drops him from last year’s spot of No. 52.

Harris, Pro Football Focus’ top cornerback of 2016, played in all 16 games last season and recorded two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

No. 37: Aqib Talib (CB)

Though Aqib Talib dropped three spots in this year's rankings, there's no doubt he's among the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

The 2017 Pro Bowler, who starred along Harris, continued his playmaking ways in 2016 as he took an interception back to the house against Indianapolis and recorded two picks vs. Tampa.

No. 2: Von Miller (OLB)

The Super Bowl 50 MVP earned the recognition he deserved Monday when he was announced as the second-best player in the National Football League.

Miller's 13.5 sacks were second best in the league, and he made a number of game-breaking plays, including a strip sack of Andrew Luck in Week 2 that sealed a Broncos victory.

But the 28-year-old franchise player isn't settling for his previous success, and he's already said to expect 2017 to be his best season yet. Miller was No. 15 on the NFL's 2016 list.
