On Friday, EVP of Football Ops/GM John Elway will receive the Champion of Youth Award at the Boys and Girls Clubs Gala.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver Broncos Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager John Elway will receive the Champion of Youth Award at the Boys and Girls Clubs Gala on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Downtown Denver.

A long-time supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs, Elway has helped raise more than $2.5 million to benefit programs and members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver through his role as co-host of the Jack A. Vickers Invitational Golf Tournament. The Champion of Youth Award is the highest honor presented to a community member or organization, recognizing those whose words, actions and financial support show unwavering dedication to improving the lives of youth in the community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs Gala honors outstanding youth from across the Denver Metro area. The evening showcases individual achievements and highlights the impactful programs offered to more than 2,000 children who visit the Clubs each day.

The Gala welcomes 1,000 business leaders, elected officials and community members committed to helping Club members succeed.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver remains the flagship community initiative for the Denver Broncos.
