Denver Broncos Draft OL Paradis in Sixth Round

Posted May 10, 2014

At pick No. 207 overall, the Broncos selected Boise State offensive lineman Matt Paradis.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- In round six of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Broncos went back to the offensive line well.

At pick No. 207 overall, Denver selected Boise State offensive lineman Matt Paradis.

A second-team All-Mountain West honoree after his senior season, Paradis started all 25 games possible in his final two seasons. All of those starts came at center.

He was part of an offense that ranked ninth nationall in red-zone offense, 16th in scoring offense, 21st in first downs, 24th in total offense, 31st in passing offense and 32nd in rushing offense in 2013.

He appeared in eight games as a redshirt sophomore in 2011 and saw action in one game as a redshirt freshman after moving from defense to offense. In fact, in his first year at Boise State -- a redshirt season -- he was named Defensive Scout Player of the Year.

Paradis' transition to offense culminated in being named Boise State's Outstanding Offensive Lineman in his senior season, when he was also named to the Fall 2013 Academic All-Mountain West Team.
