Clark Signs Two-Year Contract Extension

Posted Sep 16, 2013

The Broncos on Monday signed tackle Chris Clark to a two-year contract extension.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Just five days after center Manny Ramirez signed a two-year contract extension, the Broncos locked down even more depth on the offensive line.

Tackle Chris Clark agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with the team Monday, keeping him in Denver through the 2015 season.

The fifth-year player is one of six Broncos to have played in every game during the last three years while contributing on offense and special teams.

He has played in 42 career regular-season games and has six starts to his name, all of which came in the 2011 season with the Broncos. He has also played in all three of the team's postseason games in the past two seasons.

Originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a college free agent in 2008, Clark started his career on the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad for his first two years in the NFL before being claimed off waivers by the Broncos at the start of the 2010 season.

The three-year starting left tackle at the University of Southern Mississippi helped fill in at left tackle during the offseason while Ryan Clady was recovering from a shoulder injury.
