Clady, Trevathan on Schedule Release

Posted Apr 23, 2014

The schedule release brings plenty of excitement every year. What do the players look for first?

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The schedule release is one of the most highly anticipated days of the NFL offseason.

Finally, dates and times will be assigned to the matchups with opponents teams have known for months.

But that doesn't mean the players care as much about the schedule as fans, especially with the offseason conditioning program in full swing.

“Maybe just the teams in our division, which we kind of know already," Ryan Clady said of what he looks for when the schedule is released. "I’m not really focused on that right now. It is more or less getting back into the playbook and stuff like that.”

"What time we play," Trevathan answered with a laugh. "That's it."

Clady acknowledged he's looking forward to high-profile games against teams like New England and Seattle, and Trevathan said he wouldn't mind a few primetime games on the docket.

But for the most part, when the games fall doesn't matter to the players.

“I’ll play anyone. That’s my mindset," Trevathan said. "I’m down to face anybody they put on that schedule. You never know who is going to be on our schedule, but whoever is on there — we’re going to have to play our best game against them.”

We'll know who the Broncos play when, when the full schedule is released at 6 p.m. MDT.
