The Broncos added a cornerback with punt-return skills.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The Broncos doubled up on potential impact special teams players by taking Brendan Langley of Lamar with the 101st-overall pick.

The 6-foot, 201-pound cornerback transferred to Lamar from Georgia before his junior year.

On the defensive side, he finished fifth in the nation with six interceptions. During his junior year, he recorded a pick-six.

The First-Team All-Southland Conference selection averaged 11.7 yards per punt return, which ranked 14th nationally among FCS players. He brought two of those returns back for touchdowns of 90 and 75 yards.

Langley possesses elite athleticism. At the Combine, he ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash and an 11.19-second 60-yard shuttle. His strength was also impressive, as he put up 22 reps on the bench press.

ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay called Langley a playmaker and a “good pick at this point in the draft.”
