Posted Aug 4, 2016

The new P.A. announcer at Broncos home games is a 16-year veteran of the business.

DENVER — The Denver Broncos have hired Conor McGahey as the new public address announcer for the team’s home games beginning with the 2016 NFL season.

McGahey, a Colorado-native, has 16 years of experience in public address announcing, sports production and broadcasting.

“What an absolute honor it is to be named the public address announcer for the Denver Broncos, a team I am very passionate about,” McGahey said. “The Broncos are on top of the mountain, not only in this state but in the professional sports landscape and to be selected as the public address announcer for Broncos Country is nothing short of a great honor.”

Since 2006, McGahey has assisted the Broncos ThunderVision crew with roles including backup P.A. announcer and gameday scoreboard talent, breaking down Red Zone highlights, sponsorship features and conducting postgame player interviews.

In addition to previous McGahey’s scoreboard responsibilities with the Broncos, he also has P.A. and scoreboard experience with the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, Denver Outlaws and University of Colorado football program.
