Broncos Injury Update: Manning at practice; Osweiler still sidelined

Posted Jan 8, 2016

Brock Osweiler was one of a handful of players to get a respite from on-field work as the Broncos continued their bye-week work.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Peyton Manning continued his usual practice work for a second consecutive day, while Brock Osweiler remained sidelined as the Broncos continued their bye-week sessions at the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse on Friday.

Osweiler was one of 10 players who did not take part Friday. He was joined by cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr., ILBs Brandon Marshall and Todd Davis, TE Owen Daniels, safeties T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart, OLB DeMarcus Ware and OL Sam Brenner.

Head Coach Gary Kubiak said Friday that he did not expect Osweiler to return to practice by Saturday. He's dealt with multiple injuries, including problems with his elbow and shoulder, in recent weeks.

Safety Omar Bolden practiced for a second consecutive day, which is a positive sign as he recovers from the hamstring injury that has cost him the last four games.
