Denver Broncos Head Coach Josh McDaniels will participate in the Denver Public Schools Asthma Program's "Teaming up to Take Charge of Asthma" event on Wednesday at Montbello High School.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos Head Coach Josh McDaniels will participate in the Denver Public Schools Asthma Program’s “Teaming up to Take Charge of Asthma” event on Wednesday at Montbello High School (500 Crown Blvd., Denver, CO 80239) from 6-7:30 p.m.

McDaniels, who has asthma, will join a panel of doctors in speaking to guests about controlling childhood asthma. He will participate in a question-and-answer session and also host an asthma-themed jeopardy game with the children in attendance.

This informative family event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by National Jewish Health, which is world-renowned for its treatment of respiratory disorders.

Wednesday’s event is the third in a series of “Asthma Night” events. McDaniels and Broncos tight end Daniel Graham, who also has asthma, participated in the kickoff event on April 14 at North High School while Graham was the guest speaker at the event held at his alma mater, Thomas Jefferson High School, on April 28.

More than 5,000 children in Denver Public Schools suffer from asthma. The DPS Asthma Program works with children, parents and schools to diagnose asthma and to teach students and their parents how to manage the disease. Studies show that proper asthma management not only helps children lead active lives but can also reduce the number of days they miss school.
