2013 Denver Broncos Schedule

Posted Apr 18, 2013

Check out the Broncos' full 2013 regular-season slate.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- It's finally here.

Denver's 2013 schedule was released on Thursday, and it is highlighted by five primetime games -- the NFL Kickoff Game, one on Monday Night Football, two on Sunday Night Football and one on Thursday Night Football.

The campaign features matchups with five teams that made the playoffs in 2012, including a rematch with the Super Bowl XLVII champion Baltimore Ravens.

Speaking of rematches, the 2013 slate features six from the 2012 campaign -- the club's three divisional rivals plus Baltimore, New England and Houston. Denver was 7-2 against those clubs last season -- 6-0 against the Chargers, Raiders and Chiefs and 1-2 versus the Ravens, Patriots and Texans.

Before we get to the full schedule, here are a few notes on the 2013 slate:

  • It is the first time the Broncos have participated in the NFL's Kickoff Game, though quarterback Peyton Manning played in the event twice with the Indianapolis Colts. He is 1-1 in those contests.
  • The five primetime national television broadcasts tie for the second-most in team history. Denver also played five primetime games in 2012.
  • It's the third consecutive season the Broncos have opened in primetime -- the team played on Monday Night Football in both 2011 and 2012.
  • In 2012, Denver's regular-season opponents had a combined record of 110-146 (.430) -- the lowest winning percentage in the league. Denver's schedule last season was the second toughest in the NFL, as its opponents went 139-117 in 2011.
  • This marks the 22nd consecutive season the Broncos have played on Monday Night Football, extending the longest active streak in the NFL. It is the second-longest such streak all-time.
  • This will be the 14th consecutive season the Broncos have played at least one of the previous season's two Super Bowl teams.
  • The schedule features games against the division champion from the AFC North, AFC South, AFC East and NFC East.
  • It marks the third straight season the Broncos have opened at home after starting the season on the road for six consecutive years.
  • Meanwhile, it's the first time the team has closed the regular season on the road since 2008.

The Broncos' 2013 regular-season schedule is laid out below.
