THE LAST TIME (in Kansas City): Denver won its last visit to Arrowhead Stadium 17-10. It was the Broncos' second consecutive victory and third in four games. A dominant running attack which helped the team reel off six consecutive victories was at its best in the low-scoring slugfest. The Broncos gained 13 of their 15 first downs that afternoon on the ground, piling up 244 yards rushing on 55 handoffs. The banner afternoon in Kansas City came just a week after veteran running back

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: A third consecutive Chiefs-Broncos barnburner?
Denver and Kansas City split their two games last season, with the Chiefs pulling out a 7-3 victory in Week 17. Denver's O-line's dominance keyed the 17-10 win in Week 10, but the Chiefs repaid the favor in Week 17. A 21-yard first quarter touchdown run by Dexter McCluster, the game's only touchdown, helped Kansas City pull out a 7-3 victory at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. On the afternoon, the Chiefs outgained the Broncos 281-266 and won the all-important turnover battle 2-1.
KEY MATCHUP: Dexter McCluster vs. Denver's linebackers
McCluster, a shifty back with enough speed to challenge defenses as both a return man and a receiver out of the backfield or in the slot, enjoyed a pair of big days in both KC-Denver matchups last season. One of the few bright spots for Kansas City's offense in Week 10 was McCluster, who ran the ball 8 times for 45 yards and caught six passes for 48 yards. And in Week 17, McCluster accounted for 86 yards and the game's only touchdown on just 15 touches.
GAME NOTES: This will be the 104th meeting between the old rivals in a series that began in 1960... KC leads the all-time series 56-47... The Chiefs and Broncos have split the regular season matchups every year since 2008.
