What is the best thing about being a Broncos Cheerleader?

Our strong presence in the community is definitely the best experience as a DBC. We have numerous opportunities to give back and be involved in our community. The opportunity to have such a positive impact on the lives of children and youth is an amazing experience. Being able to share this with 25 remarkable women just tops the cake!

What is your most memorable experience?

Helping paint and prepare the new dance studio at the Boys and Girls Club was my most memorable experience thus far as a DBC. Being in the presence of so many children who truly admire us and knowing I can have such an influence on them made it a wonderful moment.

How do you spend your time off the field?

I have a pretty busy schedule. Off the field, I am busy with work: teaching preschoolers and coaching track. I also am a student, so that is very time consuming as well. The best way I spend my time off the field is being a mother to my son!

What is your occupation and how does being a Denver Broncos Cheerleader affect your work?

I am a preschool teacher, as well as a track coach. Being a DBC has definitely given me a lot more cool points with my students and athletes, which has allowed me to again be more of an influence on the lives of young people. It is truly a gift and also a great responsibility to hold the title of a Denver Broncos Cheerleader.

Who do you admire most in the Sports industry?

I truly admire Allyson Felix, the Olympic track sprinter. She has been so successful in her sport and has stayed diligent throughout her career. She is truly a testament to what a lot of hard work and determination can do.

What is your favorite book?

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou. She is one of my favorite authors.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years, I will be developing a non-profit organization for inner city and at-risk youth educating them in environmental awareness and the many art forms. I would be fulfilling my biggest dream. I also would like to be planning to expand my family.

What is the best thing about Broncos fans?

Broncos fans are loyal! No matter if we win or lose, our fans stay true. It is amazing to see the love and support Broncos fans have. They are proud of the orange and blue and remain dedicated to the team.

What do you do in your spare time to relax?

I don’t have much free time, but those times I do, I enjoy spending with my son. We have a very close relationship and it is important to me to continue to nurture and develop that.

What is your best advice to kids?

Always stay true to yourself. Be unique. Be determined. Do not compare yourself to others. Create your own path. In everything you do, be grateful.

What is the best gift you ever received?

My son. He is such an amazing little boy with so much light. I admire his positive outlook on life and learn so much from him everyday. I am truly blessed to be his mother.

Most important goal in life?

To live life to the fullest. I want to be happy, successful, and genrous in all that I do. I want to know I am living a great life and having a positive influence on others' lives.

What is the one place you would most like to visit?

I would love to visit Africa. It would be a dream come true to visit and explore the many cultures and abundance of wildlife the country offers. I would also like to do some mission work there if I were given the opportunity.

Who has been your greatest inspiration?

My son has been my greatest inspiration. He motivates me to do my very best and overcome all obstacles I am presented with. He has this way of making light of any circumstance.

What is the one thing that you value most in life?

The relationship that I have with my son. It is very important to me to be close with him and be the person he can come to for anything. I cherish what we have developed and look forward to continuing to grow closer.

What is the toughest part about being a cheerleader?

Effectively managing my time. Being a DBC brings on a large amount of commitment and training. It is important to know how to manage my time, especially with such a busy schedule.

Who are two people you would like to have dinner with?

Maya Angelou and Michelle Obama. Two remarkable women who have done so much good in their lives.

What are your favorite things to do in Denver?

Going crawdad fishing with my son

Track and Field

What are the three words that best describe you?

Determined, Passionate, Easy-going

What is your most prized possession?

A necklace and pendant  I recieved as a gift  "from my son" my first Mother's Day, three days after he was born. Being a mother is the most important role I have in life.
